December 12, 2008 The Everactive Interaction
Go out with the old and come in with the new!
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Wellness, a general word for health is no longer part of Everactive's vocabulary. "We are employee health improvement specialists" says President of Everactive Peter Sleight. "We interact directly with your employees, build a bond with them and help them reach their personal health and fitness goals. What we offer is not a perk it is a something that has tremendous value to both the employee and the employer!"

July 3, 2008 Living Innovations' staff, clients take steps toward active lifestyles
Agency hosts wellness event to kick off 'Move Across the World Challenge'
PORTSMOUTH, NH — A local agency is encouraging its staff and the people it serves to embrace healthier living one step at a time.
Living Innovations, an organization that provides services to senior citizens and individuals with developmental challenges and other disabilities, has partnered with Exeter firm Everactive to introduce its community to wellness initiatives and the "Walk Around the World Challenge." A kick-off party will be held at New Castle Common on Monday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"Because our families, home providers and employees tend to be focused on providing care and support to our clients, it's easy for physical activity to take the back burner," said Neal Ouellett, president of Living Innovations. "Many of the people we support also have health goals, so this initiative is inclusive of our entire community and will encourage everyone to make fitness a priority."
The focal point of the six-week campaign for healthier lifestyles will be the "Move Around the World Challenge," in which all participants will receive a pedometer to track their daily activity and collectively attempt to walk 24,902 miles or 57,274,600 steps — the circumference of the globe.
"We are really excited to work with the Living Innovations team," said Everactive Founder Peter Sleight. "With health insurance prices and obesity at an all-time high, innovative companies are looking for ways to reduce their premiums while investing in their human capital and helping them become healthier, more productive employees."
This initiative and the kick-off party are open to Living Innovations' clients, families, home providers and employees throughout the agency's 11 New England offices. To help bridge the geographic gap between Salem, NH, and Machias, Maine, the organization will host four separate events from June 16 to 19 in Portsmouth, NH, and Arundel, Winthrop and Bangor, Maine, respectively. Rain dates will be held one week later.
The kick off events will give attendees an opportunity to receive health improvement tips and sign up for one-on-one coaching with Everactive coaches and staff, participate in group activities and raffles, and eat a healthy lunch.
